Ingredients
- 60 grams of Semolina of Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi
- 200 grams of flour
- 1 Egg
- 60 grams of Powdered Sugar
- 110 grams of Margarin
- 12 grams of Sunflower Oil
- 6 grams of Baking Powder
For its Sherbet
- 400 grams of sugar
- 400 grams of water
- Quarter of a lemon
Preparation
- We start our recipe by placing our flour in pyrex bowl
- We create a empty space in the middle of our flour
- We place powdered sugar, oil, baking powder, Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi Semolina and egg in this empty space
- We mix the ingredients placed in the middle without using the flour
- We place the margarin that softened in room temperature on top of the ingredients in the middle and continue mixing
- After we mixed it properly, we slowly start to add the flour on the edges and we continue to knead
- We achieve a non-sticky consistence
- We portion our Sekerpare dough with ice cream spoon
- We round the portions with our hands and make them smooth
- We place hazelnut on top of them
- We place our Sekerpare into our oven which we preheated to 180 degress and bake it for approximately 30 minutes.
- We start to prepare our sherbet once they have 10 minutes left in the oven
- We add water and sugar into a pot
- After our sherbet starts to boil, we add quarter lemon and put it on low heat
- We cook it for 1 to 2 minutes
- We turn of the heat once the sherbet is done
- We pour hot sherbet on top of hot Sekerpare
- We let them rest for 10-15 minutes so that it can properly absorb the sherbet
- Our Sekerpare is ready. Bon Appetit!
