A market type shop, where foodstuff is sold, is opened in 1940 in Ulus Hal with the partnership of Nuh - Ahmet Eskiyapan brothers and Kemal Yurtbilir. As there were not many shops of this kind and due to the service being given, it became a busy shop where also the statesmen went shopping.
Up to 6 tons of macaroni were being sold in their store. Upon this, the idea of producing macaroni appeared. The first workshop is established in Ulus Rüzgarli Street in 1950. The production that started with 6 tons was not enough due to the increasing demands. So, alternative production search started.

As the area where production was being made began to be insufficient to the capacity in the course of time, it was decided to install a factory appropriate to the day's technology in Iskitler in 1956 on the area purchased. The opening of the factory that started production in 1956 with daily 20 tons capacity was made by a distinguished group where the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Commerce, Minister of Finance and upper level bureaucrats were present.

In 1963, the daily production was increased to daily 25 tons and the production continues with different patterns and shapes. The technologic investments made in 1965 increased the capacity to 30 ton/day, at the same time the Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi has become Turkey's best quality macaroni producer.

As a result of rapid urbanization and growth, it became inevitable to transfer the production to the sub fields. Because of this, a modern factory established on a 46.000 square meter area in Sincan Organize Industry Area started production. Thus, together with the factory in Iskitler, the greatest capacity of Turkey was achieved.

Today, the Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi is one of the biggest and most modern factories of the world. The mills processing durum wheat in Sincan produces 10.000 tons of semolina for macaroni in a month. Moreover, the flesco press installation that meets 80 % of the annual external package need also continues operation. The brands produced by the Nuhun Ankara Makarnasi are being exported to many countries and they take place within the brands known in the world.
The Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi has produced the macaroni that has sauce of its own with the brand Veronelli in Turkey for the first time. The production of brands Lüks, Klasik, With Vitamin, With Vegetable and Elif Macaroni still continues. The Nuh'un Ankara Makarnasi Industry Commerce JTC continue its activities as a competitive and professional institution of the sector that carries the macaroni culture to Turkey with its staff with high level of education and its experience, besides its high technology and modern scientific methods. |
